EXCURSION WITH TASTING AND LIGHT LUNCH TENUTA LE COLONNE

 The islands of: Capraia, Elba, Pianosa, Corsica, the lush Mediterranean scrub, the pines, and the vineyards are all connected by an imaginary thread in this exclusive guided E-bike excursion with tasting. The route combines the higher part of San Vincenzo, often unknown even to locals, with a small stretch in the urban area, until it directly enters the vast Dievole estate. You can traverse trails and white roads immersed in lush vegetation with a sea view. A paradise in the heart of Bolgheri Doc. The vineyards of Tenuta le Colonne grow surrounded by crystal-clear sea and dense Mediterranean scrub.  

 The route begins at the starting point, proceeds through the higher part of San Vincenzo, little known to tourists but with exceptional views, and continues into the vast Dievole property nestled between the sea and Bolgheri Doc. The glimpses of the sea, the islands, and the vineyards passed through on E-bike are unique and warrant this scenic route. The arrival at the winery is preceded by a beautiful tree-lined avenue reminding us of how beautiful the nature around us is. After the tasting with a light lunch, the return is on white roads within the property, away from traffic. Excursion suitable for everyone.  

The hill on which we find ourselves, dating back 24-36 million years, is composed of pebbles from the promontory and the reddish-orange sands of Donoratico, which give the name to the Poggio Rosso estate. Here, the varieties of merlot, sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon, vermentino, and viognier are planted.

These grape varieties manage to convey unique characteristics of flavor and terroir due to their particular position influenced by the proximity of the sea and constant winds.
