I recently spent a couple of days in Nice to escape the Finnish greyness. I’ve been following Massacan on Instagram and YouTube for a while, so I wanted to try their bikes in person and enjoy a bit of Mediterranean sunshine. I rented a beautiful Paula gravel bike for two days and had some lovely conversations about bikes and lifestyle with Lucie and Adrien. They were incredibly welcoming and even let me pick up the bike the evening before my rental without me asking. Lucie also sent me a komoot track before my arrival in France.
They’re truly passionate people who have built a wonderful community. I highly recommend that every cyclist visiting Nice stop by the Rifugio.

Absolutely top quality! Great folk, great bikes, great service. Very knowledgeable about local and not-so-local rides, and friendly with it. And a dog named Wookie, what more could you ask?

I flew in to Nice to compete in the Ironman and, to my dismay, found my rear brake disc warped from the travel. I then proceeded to frantically call and visit every bike store in my near vicinity to try to fix it before the big race (all to no avail).
Then I found Massacan Rifugio. Matt, Lucie, and Sebastian helped me on the spot - fixed my issue, and got me back on the road. I truly could not be more thankful for their assistance and friendly demeanor. This shop and its owners clearly embody the cyclist’s spirit! Ride on!

We rented two Paulette gravel bikes for a day, each with good specs (Shimano GRX and SRAM Apex, each with a 50/51 cassette). Lucie had the bikes ready for us, and we were able to set off right away. She was very friendly and gave us route tips for the region. We'll definitely be back! Thanks, bcp!
