SIGMA 18-50 mm f/2.8 DC DN CANON RF

The 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art lens from Sigma offers advanced design for gains in sharpness, resolution, and portability. Features such as the next-generation HLA autofocus, a click-stop aperture ring, and a minimum focusing distance of 17cm make this lens the ideal choice for those seeking versatility without compromising excellence. It comprises 6 FLD (low dispersion), 2 SLD (special low dispersion), and 5 aspherical elements that significantly reduce chromatic aberrations while enhancing color clarity and accuracy. In addition to superior optical performance, the 5 aspherical elements contribute to the compactness of the lens due to their slim and highly polished construction. The bright f/2.8 aperture and the rounded 11-blade diaphragm produce a wide and beautiful bokeh effect. Multi-layer and nanopore treatments have been applied to minimize flare and ghosting, contributing to images rich in contrast and neutral colors even in backlight conditions. The lens has also been designed to eliminate focus breathing when the angle of view changes across the zoom range, creating natural focus during video recording. The introduction of the new linear motor (HLA) for driving autofocus allows for focusing speeds more than three times faster than its predecessor. The minimum focusing distance is 17 cm (Wide) – 34 cm (Tele), allowing for working on close subjects or in tight spaces. While retaining the same number of lens elements, the overall length has been reduced and the weight lightened. The aperture ring features a click-stop switch and a locking switch for better handling during use. The robust internal structure includes metal parts for zoom extension, while the exterior features rubber seals in the mount to protect the lens from dust and moisture. Two integrated AF-L buttons can be programmed to adjust various shooting parameters, and the lens also includes a dedicated AF/MF switch and a zoom lock switch to prevent accidental barrel extension.
