Urban loop starting from Talence
Want to explore Bordeaux differently than on foot... and without getting stuck on a tram?
This self-guided tour takes you on a 4-hour cool bike ride, exploring heritage sites, majestic quays, alternative right bank, and highly strategic gourmet breaks.
Start and end in Talence, heading towards the historical heart of Bordeaux, its iconic monuments, bridges, and especially its local specialties.
Spoiler: yes, there will be wine. And canelé. 🍷🍮
From Talence, we gently reach Bordeaux via bike lanes, getting into the groove without upsetting your calves.
On the agenda:
Place de la Victoire and its monumental gate
La Grosse Cloche (it sounds quieter than it looks)
Saint-André Cathedral & Pey-Berland Tower
Porte Cailhau, worthy of a film set
Place de la Bourse & Water Mirror (mandatory photo)
Les Quinconces, XXL version
After so much culture, it’s time to get serious:
👉 Break at CIBV, to chat about terroir, grape varieties... and fill glasses responsibly.
We then continue with a sweet stop at La Toque Cuivrée, because a Bordeaux resident without a canelé is like a bike without a saddle.
The ride continues over the Pont de Pierre, to reach the right bank, discover Darwin, its street art, alternative vibe, and free spirit, before strolling along the quays and leisurely returning to Talence.
