What a great place for a family holiday. Loads on site to keep you busy. We stayed in a wooden chalet. It was exactly the right size for us. We are a family 5 and there was plenty of space. The reception staff were a hit or miss. Some were amazing and great service, with instant support and sorting things out, a few made you think you were ruining their day by asking questions they couldn't answer, and didn't ask anyone else about. Didn't ruin the holiday though.

For our first time camping outside the UK, we were pleasantly surprised by La Croix du Pont. We had already been upgraded from Safari Tents to Comfort XLs and paid a little extra to be located next to the rest of our group, which worked well. The site itself is excellent, offering plenty of activities to keep children entertained while also providing enough to occupy the adults. The lagoon was a wonderful retreat, and both children and adults made good use of the pool, bar, takeaway, and restaurant, all of which were very good. Guest services were nonchalant but generally helpful when dealing with our ongoing blocked drains issue, though to be fair, it was resolved on two of the three occasions. The most disappointing aspect was the constant add-ons, which took away from the overall sense of value. Charges for being next to each other, for laundry (which then had to be returned), for caravan cleaning, and even for a welcome pack all felt excessive, especially considering the already high site prices. Not even hotels charge extra for linen. While this may be a common European tourist practice, it left some of us feeling a little ripped off. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and managed to sample most of what we had planned, including a trip to Disney and a tour of Paris. Despite some minor frustrations, it was a memorable and enjoyable holiday. We would certainly consider returning in the future.

Great Family Park with Lots to Do – Just Needs a Few Fixes We had a fantastic time at the park overall. It’s a real family-friendly site with so much to do for all ages. There’s a beach, a lazy river, water slides, and an indoor pool, plus loads of activities to keep the kids entertained throughout the day. The on-site shop and bakery are convenient, and there are several bars and restaurants to choose from. We ate at the takeaway and were really impressed – the food was great, the service was fast, and I’d definitely recommend the hamburger and chips. This was our third stay over the years, and it’s always been an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is lively, the site is busy but well-managed, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, we did have some issues with our chalet this time. The kitchen sink was blocked on arrival, and the toilet gave us trouble all week, constantly blocking up. We had to visit reception three times to get it fixed, which was frustrating, though it was dealt with promptly each time. These things do happen, but hopefully they can sort out the plumbing for future guests. Also, the resin area around the lazy river could use some attention. All in all – a great place, and we’ll definitely be back again!

With all the bad reviews we considered changing campsites, yes the accommodation wasn’t perfect but it was acceptable, the cleaning could of been better but there was nothing disgusting just marks on walls that were easily wiped off so could of been done by the cleaners. No toaster or grill. The bathroom door didn’t close properly or lock but this was solved by a folded up Calpol box wedged under the door. The heating was a nightmare to work out but we got there after about a hour on two separate nights, if you were using the caravans as a base for your holiday of 2 weeks for example then it could be disappointing, we used our caravan as somewhere for the kids to sometimes eat dinner and for us all to sleep for 4 days and it was fine for that. The campsite overall is good I would say the bowling is good and the pool looked very good although we didn’t use it. The shop could be better stocked but plenty of pain au chocolates and croissants in the morning.

Massively Disappointed, we booked 4 nights here and only stayed for 2 choosing to leave early. There wasn't anything in particular wrong with our lodge aside from temperamental hot water, no WiFi so TV didn't work and ripped mattresses but otherwise was clean and tidy and fine. But we paid just over £1080 for 4 nights in a comfort XL and I feel its horrendous value for money. Very little included for that price, the whole site has a foul smell of sewage and drains which also wafts up into into the cabins. The pool was rammed and dirty, flooring around pool is coming away so loose chippings made it hard to walk around barefoot, outdoor pool was freezing only for the brave and indoor pool murky and overcrowded. Big slow queues for water slides so my kids just cold and frustrated. the following night my older son, the only one who had really been in the water was violently sick through the night, so we avoided the water for the remainder of our short stay. The foot bath you walk through to get to the pool looked like a brown soup so cleanliness is evidently poor. Play areas were fine but busy and unsupervised older kids blocking slides made it abit unsafe for younger ones. Most extra activities opened later in the day, like bowling, softplay, lakeside activities opened at 2pm on days we were there so children just frustrated they couldn't use these. Everything else also has to be paid for so with two kids it starts getting very expensive, tokens for cars for about 2 minutes, wrist bands for kiosk climbing frame, hand stamp for bouncy castle it goes on and on. Prices vary between €4 and €6 euro for half a day per child. You also have to pay for this at the kiosk bar which again is a massive queue of people also buying drinks from there. Bowling was €28 for one game for 2 adults 2 children. Food is extortionate and around €8 a pint for flat lager. Onsite food is expensive and service is rubbish. Waited 45 minutes for some nachos and garlic potatoes with a buzzer, finally went to enquire where it was and they hadn't put the order through! Arcade is grubby with broken glass, most games are €2 euro a go, lots of broken machines that just take your money. It's also loud and rowdy in the evenings not at all what I expected from a euro camp, shouting, swearing bikes and cars revving and driving unsafely around the site, one car even seen speeding onto the grass to go around the speed bumps. Seems to attract the wrong kind of crowd for nice family camping. Over all for £250 a night for a family of 4 in a cramped mobile home was pitiful low value. As others have said it's very run down, smelly, rowdy and absolutely everything has to be queued for and staff look fed up and miserable and I don't blame them. I was happy to leave and book glamping elsewhere just to be rid of this place.
