EXCURSION WITH TASTING AT TENUTA POGGIOROSSO
Light Lunch + 5 Wines and a Gin of Their Production
The hill on which we are located, dating back 24-36 million years, is composed of pebbles from the promontory and the red-orange sands of Donoratico, which give the name to Tenuta di Poggio Rosso. Here, the varieties of merlot, sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon, vermentino, and viognier are planted. These grape varieties manage to convey unique characteristics of savoriness and territoriality due to the particular position influenced by the proximity of the sea and constant winds.
The route to the tenuta passes through the pine forest of the Rimigliano park, a stretch of cliff overlooking the sea, a beautiful meadow, and the splendid Gulf of Baratti. From the vantage point of the vineyard, it is possible to see the 'Two Seas'. Price per person, minimum two participants.
