EXCURSION WITH TASTING TENUTA MERAVIGLIA

“Meraviglia,” as the ancients said. Not just for the beauty of the project or for the landscape that welcomes it, but for the very essence of this place: irreplaceable, visionary, perfectly suspended between dream and rigor, between nature and architecture, between time and intuition. An abandoned quarry, a harsh, unproductive land, nestled in a place of extraordinary biodiversity, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and enhanced by the presence of an indigenous forest, a fundamental element of the landscape. Where once stood the Cariola quarry – an active riodite quarry until the '80s, then left in a state of abandonment – today a new winery arises, designed to be a legacy for the territory. The final result is a deep fusion between elements, a continuous dialogue between what existed and what has been imagined and constructed. The architectural project thus arises from the quarry and returns to the quarry. History becomes matter, the force of the rock meets the breath of the sea, the landscape does not serve as a frame but is the primary subject of the scene.

 The islands of: Capraia, Elba, Pianosa, Corsica, the lush Mediterranean scrub, the pine forests, and the vineyards are all connected by an imaginary thread in this exclusive guided excursion in E-bike with exclusive tasting. The construction of the winery follows the principles of sustainable building. The project involves building on three levels, with the barrel room on the underground floor, the winemaking area on the ground floor, and the tasting rooms on the highest level, featuring a terrace with breathtaking views.  

 The route begins at the rental point, proceeds in the higher part of San Vincenzo, little known to tourists but with exceptional views, and continues by entering the immense Dievole property nestled between the sea and Bolgheri Doc. The glimpses of the sea, the islands, and the vineyards crossed in E-Bike are unique and warrant the scenic route. The arrival at the winery is preceded by a beautiful tree-lined avenue reminding us how stunning nature is around us. After the tasting with light lunch, the return takes place on white roads within the property away from traffic.
