Easy rental of cross-country skis, snowshoes and sleds with quality equipment. A lovely little plateau at the end of the road with beautiful trails and walks, both summer and winter.
We received a warm welcome for a half-day of cross-country skiing. We arrived at noon on a Sunday and there were very few people at the rental shop, nor for the mandatory shuttle which ran every half hour in each direction. The area is fantastic; we had a wonderful time.
This is our second visit, and the second time we've encountered the same scenario. We came to go snowshoeing and had to leave our car at the mountain lodge, so we waited for the shuttle.
Just like last time, it was full, and we were turned away because priority was given to cross-country skiers, who pay for the shuttle.
The organization is utterly deplorable. If it's a question of price, then why not charge pedestrians for the shuttle? During peak periods like the holidays, planning ahead is essential, and it's unacceptable to leave hikers without options. You can't ask people to leave their cars at the bottom if you don't offer them a way to get back up!
