Moana Surf School

I had a great experience at this school! I had a 2-year break from surfing and didn’t feel confident about restarting. But I came to this place and immediately felt welcome. The school owner Alexander is a top professional, very welcoming and caring. He made me pop up on the green waves in no time. I was super happy and will definitely continue having classes every week! Highly recommend this school! You’ll enjoy!

This was our 3rd time with Moana Surf School and it is the one thing without fail that my kids first talk about when describing our trips to Portugal. We booked two private group instructors for all sessions. They are super friendly and patient with kids. Also, they were highly aware from a safety standpoint regularly keeping track of where the kids were. We did surf lessons and bodyboarding. Interestingly in the last session they felt my eldest was ready for a faster board so they switched him out and he did fantastic! Thanks to Alex and his crew I believe we’ve planted the seed of a surfer in him and I cannot be more thankful!!!! Lastly you can look out there and see a lot of people in the water but they have a designated space and the kids were safe as were other people in the water. You can’t go wrong with Moana Surf School!!!

Had a private lesson for two beginners - booking with Alex was easy. Our instructor (I believe his name was Tiago) was really great. Despite less than ideal weather (this was due to lack of flexibility on timing on our part), he really put in the effort to help us make the most of it. Lesson was fun and instructions were easy to pick up!

Just finished up with a private lesson, wonderful experience. The instructor was hands on and very helpful. First time ever surfing and now I wanna keep doing it. Alex and his team are great people.
