Highly recommended. Paulo was knowledgeable, passionate and amusing and, being a school teacher, kept us all in line! Really pleased we did this, great way of seeing Palermo.

We had a truly great experience with the knowledgeable and engaging Fabio. Slightly apprehensive about the notorious traffic we found ourselves guided safely around historic Palermo on well maintained bikes, stopping frequently to hear about the various fascinating insights that Fabio was able to share with us and pass on to us his love of his home city - a highly recommended tour to take. I’m 72 and was also concerned about steep hills but there is only one short hill, the rest is largely flat and you should have no problem.

I rented a gravel bike from Social Bike Palermo to climb Mount Pellegrino! The welcoming and the service was flawless, I was given all the instructions that I needed and the bike was fitted perfectly to me, and I was also offered a small repair toolkit and a lock. I had limited time to explore Palermo, otherwise I would have rented the bike for more days and would have traveled to other destinations in Sicily. If you are in Palermo for vacations and you want to explore the city and nearby destinations, I would highly recommend renting a bike from Social Bike Palermo! The island is beautiful and cycling is so much fun!

Rent a bike. I highly recommend it.
You can give your feet a rest and feel the breeze cool you down.
The city is pretty bikeable. Some streets get too busy, some streets are just for cars, but overall if you can stand to wait your turn crossing some busy street it can be very rewarding. There are dedicated bicycle paths in some places. Take care of this bike and it will take care that you are able to see a lot more of the city of Palermo than you otherwise could see on a day.
I was given tips concerning which roads are not available for biking, about how many cruise ships arrive that day, so roads to avoid a great mass of people, locations to go sightseeing.
