I paid 42€ for a gravel bike for full day. I know its not the cheapest, but after riding it for the whole day, i think the premium price is worth every euro!
U get what u pay for :)
And whats priceless is their kindness and treatment. No money can buy that.
Great Bike, great location to pick up, right next to bus station! And most importantly, great people!
This business run by a husband and wife, felt very personal and as if i was taking a bike from a friend.
They will take real good care of u.
So if u are hesitant, or comparing to other places, just like how I was,
DO NOT HESITATE, go for this place!

Velo Dunkirk to Amsterdam in Autumn
We started our journey from Dunkirk to Amsterdam. The main reason we chose not to start from Lille was we didn't have proper gravel bikes all equipped and Dunkirk coast is a better place to start compared to Lille if we were to rent the bikes. We started searching for bike rental shops and viola we found Location Velo Dunkirk. For amateur bikers like us who have never trained nor owned a long distance bike, the shop owners were very kind to guide us and prepared the best suitable bike for us. Location Velo Dunkirk were very kind to help prepare the itenary and provide an app, but we wanted to do it ourselves and learn by our own. However, we consulted them for recommendation and beginning of the route. They were very responsive to our questions over email, text message or phone calls. We are very thankful for their patience because being an amateur, we were asking many questions and clarifications :-). I am Indian and my wife is French, but the owner also spoke very good English to clarify my questions due to my limitations in French language. For me, cycling is easy, French language is more difficult :-). Never the less, they helped us and I really appreciate their help and preparation of the bike and all the accessories( 2 side bags for each bike, water bottle holder, helmets, phone holder, spares, bike lock, air pump) and lots of motivation and good words before the start on 2nd Oct 2024.
I think for all the folks coming from UK or nearby cities, and who want to do short trips around Dunkirk or go long distance to explore northern coast of France, Belgium and Netherlands; Location Velo Dunkirk is the perfect place to start.

Don’t go anywhere else to hire bikes in Dunkirk - you’ll get the best bikes AND the most friendly, flexible service you’ll find anywhere at this great shop. We hired 2 e-bikes for a tour around Belgium and they were seriously fast, easy to manage machines that easily kept their charge for our 80km days. We had to cut our trip short by a few days and Helene and Dorian came to collect the bikes for us. Lovely people, great bike shop!

We arranged the hire of 6 bikes and for them to be delivered to our accommodation. They arrived on time and were perfect for our requirements.
They were well maintained, the seats were very comfortable and easy to ride and had good brakes and gears. The owners were very helpful when we emailed them with questions and they couldn't do enough for us when they handed over the bikes.
Good value for money and I highly recommend them. Their English is very good too!

I had a fantastic time while renting my bike from here! The couple was very kind and spoke English which was helpful as I’m from the US with no French abilities. I rented the bike through their website and picked it up with no issues! They provide a lock, and can adjust your seat to where you like it. Such a great way to see the city, I wouldn’t have seen it all without a bike! Highly recommend.
