🚲 Bordeaux by Bike – Stones, Wine, and Canelé
Urban Loop Starting from Talence
Want to discover Bordeaux differently than on foot… without getting stuck in a tram?
This self-guided route takes you on a 4-hour leisurely bike ride, between heritage sights, majestic quays, alternative right bank, and highly strategic gourmet breaks.
Departure and arrival at Talence, heading towards the historic heart of Bordeaux, its iconic monuments, bridges, and, above all, its local specialties.
Spoiler: yes, there will be wine. And canelé. 🍷🍮
🗺️ The Route, in a Few Pedal Strokes
From Talence, we gently reach Bordeaux via bike paths, to warm up without upsetting your calves.
On the agenda:
Place de la Victoire and its monumental gate
La Grosse Cloche (it rings less loudly than it looks)
Saint-André Cathedral & Pey-Berland Tower
Porte Cailhau, worthy of a movie set
Place de la Bourse & Water Mirror (mandatory photo)
Les Quinconces, XXL version
After so much culture, it's time for serious matters:
👉 Break at CIBV, to talk about terroir, grape varieties… and fill glasses in moderation.
We then continue with a sweet stop at La Toque Cuivrée, because a Bordelais without canelé is like a bike without a saddle.
The ride continues across the Pont de Pierre to reach the right bank, discover Darwin, its street art, alternative vibe, and free spirit, before following the quays and slowly returning to Talence.
