We tell you more about this resort!
Get a taste of winter at the Géant de Provence by renting cross-country skis at Mont Ventoux. Between beech and pine forests, snow-covered clearings and breathtaking views of the Alps and Luberon, the Nordic trails offer a natural interlude accessible to all. When the snow is there, the trails alternate between gentle loops for beginners and more athletic routes to build endurance.
The Ventoux peaks at 1910 m and the weather changes quickly. The Mistral wind can make the air very dry and temperatures lower: so layer up and slip on a windproof jacket. The best times are generally from January to March, depending on snowfall. In the mornings, the snow is often firmer and more even; in the afternoons, the light is generous, ideal for a contemplative outing. Before setting off, take a look at the weather report, slope opening times and access conditions on the D974.
