Looking for some fresh air along the Moselle? In Neuves-Maisons, cycling is the best way to enjoy the valley, gently and without detours. Set off from the river banks, your wheels on the smooth ribbon of the Voie Bleue, shaded by poplars. The lapping of the canal, a lock opening, a heron taking off... the tempo is set by the water.

Head north towards Nancy, a dozen kilometers along the greenways, for a break in town before returning along the meanders. Looking for a denser natural setting? The Forêt de Haye stretches out its sandy paths, perfect for a VTC or mountain bike, with clearings where you can put the bike down for a sandwich. And if you're interested in industrial history, a detour to the Mine du Val de Fer tells the story of the area's iron and steel industry in the open air. To the west, the ride can take you as far as the ramparts of Toul and the vineyards of the Côtes de Toul, on flat, family-friendly terrain.
