If you want to have the best day in Cascais, go see Nick at Bikerist! My husband and I decided to spend our last day in Portugal exploring Cascais, but had little idea of what we would actually do there. We decided to drop into Nick’s shop for some e-bikes, and that was the best decision.
He fitted us with great bikes, making sure they were the proper size and had everything we needed - phone holder for navigation, basket for our things, and helmets, of course. Best of all, he gave us great recommendations on where we should take our journey, even helping my husband add the stops on his Google maps route. I think he could tell we were ambitious because he gave us a pretty adventurous route to try. We rode through Cascais up to Boca do Inferno, and continued up gorgeous coastline past Guincho Beach. Then we took our bikes all the way up into Sintra National Park all the way up to Peninha Sanctuary (for a breathtaking view), and hit Cabo da Roca and parked at Guincho to enjoy the beach for awhile before ending our journey. Nick even recommended a lunch spot in Azoia along our route, and it didn’t disappoint.
Nick was incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp when we had any questions. It was an incredible day full of postcard views thanks to Nick!
Super friendly service — the guy helped me choose the right bike and set me up with a great battery on the e-bike. He also showed me how everything works, suggested a nice route to ride, and even marked it on the map for me. Overall I’m really happy with the rental experience. Totally recommend renting here!
One of the best ways to explore this area is on a bike. We found Bikerist as we wanted to cover more terrain in the time we had with eBikes. The bikes were high quality with long battery life and came with a sturdy phone mount to help with directions. This was great as nick showed us some must see views and attractions and the best bike paths to take that we wouldn’t have known on our known. Nick was very responsive via what’s app and super helpful and friendly in person. I highly recommend this activity and moreso Nick and Bikerist as a quality place to rent.
We had an amazing experience renting from Nick at Bikerist. We had great communication ahead of our ride when booking to make sure he knew which bikes would fit each of us.
We rented two e-bikes they were in perfect condition and lasted our entire 43km ride!
Nick helped confirm our route and pointed out some great viewing points!
Overall I would highly recommend renting here! (Worth the little walk or uber ride from the train station)
10/10 - very good bikes, like new condition for a very affordable price! 20€/day - ride till your legs feel like jelly 😆😆
There's also an ice cream place and a bakery next door, so you won't leave without a good treat for a good ride.
