Absolutely outstanding. All of my family were cycling together for the very first time, spending time together, and all on a level playing field despite very differing abilities. Whilst i had not previously considered it, using e-bikes meant that mountain bike experts can ride alongside complete novices with no strength or skill, and each person can do as much or as little work/challenge as appropriate to their individual experience and skill level. The instructors were fantastic from start to finish - funny, good language skills, good company, helpful and generous - just brilliant. I would say we were quite weak in our party’s overall skill level (especially my youngest) but they made that immaterial to our enjoyment of the activity - we all had a blast and saw more of the landscape in 2 hours than we otherwise would have in 2 weeks. Company communications were great at the organisational and booking stage which made us confident to book as it’s a lot of money for us, and there are scammers in the world queuing up to rip you off. The pre-amble beforehand when we arrived allowed us to become well-familiar with the bikes and the instructors were more than happy to swap bits and give us smaller or bigger equipment where this was necessary. They also explained things really well and you never felt silly for asking a question. Which is good as we had a lot! The bikes themselves are top of the range and were absolutely brilliant - you can just get a bit of power quietly kicking in when you pedal so it wasn’t like an engine or a separate power button you press, which i had expected previously. It just made mountain biking super easy! I would never in a million years have been able to get up all those stunning hills and enjoy it without the wonderful e-mountainbike. I would highly recommend this company and would urge you to definitely book on if you aren’t too sure - if we can do it, the you certainly can! I really enjoyed my first surfing lesson.with Cascais Routes yesterday ! They really took great care of me and explained a lot of things about surfing. Although it was a small group lesson , I alwalys had a teacher by my side. I really felt that it was a private lesson. Had a great time in Guincho beach !

Me and 8 friends had a group surfing lesson on Guincho beach, with João and his team. It was 10 out of 10. Such a nice relaxed, friendly team of instructors, it felt like you were spending time with friends. Really great teaching and support while out at sea, made for a really fun experience that I would highly recommend. We all had an amazing time surfing and then João made a lunch reservation for us which was perfect!! If you want a nice relaxed experience with some really nice chill dudes, who are also super dedicated and experienced - then these are your guys! I’ll definitely be back for another lesson next time I visit. Obrigado João and team!

This weekend the Cascais Routes team arranged an adventure in Sintra woods for the birthday of our son who turned 5! It was a great experience for the little ones, full of nature-based, fun, age-appropriate activities! Children loved it! “It was such an awesome party” said one of the kids. Definitely recommend!
