This scarifier (also called dethatcher) is used to dethatch, scarify and revitalize a lawn. The action of the blades on the grass and in the soil removes the dense mat of moss, leaves, and roots that prevents the lawn from breathing. This allows rain and minerals to penetrate freely into the soil down to the roots.
The usual working depth is 2 mm. The blade braking is minimal, allowing them to quickly remove moss and thatch from the turf without cutting into the roots, which significantly reduces the recovery time of the grass after scarification.
