Electric Damage and Theft Insurance

The Electric Damage and Theft Insurance option provides coverage for damages related to the breakage or theft of the rented equipment.

• In the event of theft, the tenant is liable for a deductible of 10% of the value of the equipment. A police report from the tenant is mandatory. Without proof of this report, the tenant is required to fully reimburse the stolen items.

• Likewise, in the event that the equipment is damaged during the use, a deductible of 10% of the value of the damaged parts will be applicable at the cost of the tenant.

If the tenant chooses not to subscribe to the damage and theft insurance, then their liability is engaged in the event of theft or deterioration of the rented equipment.

• Thus, in the event of theft, the tenant is required to fully reimburse the stolen items.

• Similarly, in the event that the equipment is damaged during the use, the tenant is required to repay the full amount for the parts to be repaired or replaced.

If the tenant does not subscribe to the Assistance and Repair Service, Véloc’Ouest reserves the right to charge €0.50 (50 cents) per kilometer traveled round trip for any intervention on a problem not engaging its responsibility, regardless of whether or not insurance for damage and theft is subscribed.
