Mandello del Lario is best explored by bike: between the shores of Lake Como and the first hills, every pedal stroke offers a new viewpoint. In the morning, the light glides over the water and the alleys gently awaken: the ideal time to ride in peace and quiet, skirting the shoreline and stopping on a small quay to admire the mountains that seem to plunge into the lake.

For an easy ride, opt for routes along the water's edge towards the neighboring villages, punctuated by discreet beaches and cafés where you can take a break. The more inquisitive can climb up to the hamlets above Mandello: the slope has to be earned, but the panoramic views reward the effort, especially in the late afternoon when the air becomes cooler.
