Want to discover the mountains in a different way? Renting a snowshoe at Val Disere opens the door to a wild and luminous territory, between larch forests, traditional hamlets and panoramic views of the Vanoise. Accessible itineraries wind towards La Daille, along the torrent, or rise gently into the Manchet valley. On the Le Fornet side, the trails offer a more alpine atmosphere and clearings perfect for observing animal tracks.

At an altitude of 1850 m, snow cover is generous from December to April. In winter, the air is dry and the cold quite present: set off in the morning for firm snow and clear views after the falls. In March, the days get longer, the weather gets milder and the late afternoon light is superb for a contemplative stroll. On foggy days, prefer paths on the edge of the forest to keep your bearings.
