Renting two e-bikes in Epernay at Delaselle au Guidon was easy and gave us wonderful experiences in the villages and vineyards of Champagne. The e-bikes worked well, helmet and lock included, solid and stabile on the, sometimes, bumpy roads and hills.

Rather disappointing rental service. We have rented bikes many many times before but this one was probably the worst one. We rented 5 e-bikes and 1 normal one. Couple of issues:
1. We did not get the e-bikes that were advertised. On the site i could see Bergamont bikes but we got a very obscure brand i never heard of before. This will become important in a bit
2. Really no explanation on how to operate the e-bikes before starting
3. throughout the ride (35km), 2 out of 5 of the e-bikes of different brands just stopped working (no electrical assistance). So we had to work really hard to cycle. Switching off and on again did not solve the issue. Sometimes they suddenly started working again (while pedalling) but a little later … Dead again :((
4. When we called to ask for help, the simple answer was : I have no time as I am waiting for clients to return their bikes. End of service
5. when we challenged the person upon returning that we really did not get what we paid for (bikes with electrical assistance), The simple answer was : you got back here didn't you? So all is good. So no partial compensation for the issues, let alone a refund...
on the positive side: the normal bike we rented was perfect!

Disappointing experience with this rental service. After renting bikes three weeks ago, I discovered an unexpected €1500 charge on my credit card.
Despite numerous emails requesting an explanation, I’ve received no response from the company.
My bank has verified this as an actual charge rather than a temporary authorization. I have documentation of our rental agreement and transaction details.
The lack of communication and customer service has been very concerning. Three weeks later, I’m still waiting for either an explanation or refund.
Based on this experience, I would recommend caution when considering this business. I’m currently exploring options to resolve this billing dispute.
