I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for authenticity and absolute tranquility. Cabeças do Reguengo offers a deeply relaxing rural setting that lets you instantly unwind. The rooms feature a wonderfully maintained vintage design, which adds a unique and cozy charm to the entire experience. I can say with all my heart that the bathroom had the most beautiful view I have ever encountered in my travels—truly unforgettable! Additionally, the swimming pool is a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. And the biggest, most delightful surprise? The two resident dogs who are an absolute joy to have around and made our stay even more special. We loved every moment here!

Great rooms, comfortable beds and super nice owners that always helped with any question we had. It was already our second stay and it won’t be our last :). The wine that they are producing is another highlight, that I definitely recommend trying.

Me an my sister visited this hotel because we heard of the wines that they make. We loved the exceptional wines that they make, the private wine tasting and the beautiful boutique hotel. Everything was perfect. The hotel is very cozy, it feels like you are staying in a beautiful family house. The owners of the place are always in the property and takes a very good care of the guests. We will be back to stay here again.

A bit late but this is our favourite place to stay. Off the beaten track, quiet, rural and a great breakfast. We didn't use the pool but the walks and recreation nearby is very good. The mattresses are 5 stars. Just what we needed to rest and recuperate from the a long period of hard work.

Nice spot in the Serra de Mamede rural setting, upper Alentejo. Around 4km from the historic town of Portalegre and Marvão. This is a quiet retreat and not far from the Spanish border where in a 90 minute drive you can visit the equally historic old town of Caceres. The bed was a little on the firm side and the pillows were overfilled and hard. These could be improved to provide a pillow-top, and 2 soft (less voluminous) and 2 more amply filled. The pool was refreshing and the sound of the goat bells was soothing. The breakfast was average fare for Portuguese establishments with orange juice not freshly squeezed. Still a reasonable choice, though not an experience to cherish. The room was large enough with elevator to access. Most of the property was well maintained. The owner specialises in wine organic wine production, so it's a good stop to stock up and savour the 'Terroirs' award-winning variety amongst others (20,000/year produced). Less memorable: The staff were noticeable by their absence - the reception was unreachable at 9am during our stay. We didn't appreciate the chain-smoking from the room below us.
