- mail-order purchase - I’d like to share my very positive experience following the purchase of my bike by mail order. The model I was looking for was no longer available in my area, but Guillaume managed to find a solution by liaising with his suppliers. He managed to source the bike and have it delivered to me as quickly as possible. I particularly appreciated his responsiveness, his professionalism and the quality of our interactions throughout the process. Communication was clear, smooth and reassuring. I highly recommend him!

Thanks to Guillaume, a brilliant and very friendly bike mechanic from whom I bought a magnificent Jean Fourche compact cargo bike! Very professional, excellent communication and a big plus: my bike was shipped with the utmost care via a courier service across the whole of France 😊 In short, Guillaume’s bike shop is a professional business I’d recommend without hesitation!

€95 for truing and 10 spokes (€45 for labour + €50 for spokes) – I wonder who would accept that sort of quote. I got my wheel back after paying €20 for dismantling and measuring the spokes – which was done without my consent (they could simply have checked the dimensions in the manufacturer’s documentation, available online). In the end, I’ve paid €20 and the wheel is even more warped than it was before I took it in… The shop owner, or Arthur, will no doubt reply with something like “we either do the job properly or we don’t do it at all”, but he tells me “we’re not going to fuss over 1 or 2 mm on the spoke length” – so why take them out to measure them in the first place? In short, yet another shop that overcharges and fancies itself a top-tier mechanic – that’s not how you’re going to keep the business afloat. Finally, a special mention to the mechanic, who is the unfriendliest person I’ve ever come across in my life. I hope you’re not like that with your colleagues – otherwise your days must be a right drag. I won’t be saying ‘see you soon’ :)

I would have preferred to give 5 stars because, in terms of the work itself, there’s nothing to complain about. However, when it comes to the personal side of things, it’s a complete nightmare: patronising, condescending and full of criticism. I would just have liked to have been given some kind advice. Not very professional.
