Wonderful experience all round - highly recommended place for, amongst anything bike related, good quality bicycle rentals.
As written by my friend Kim in his July review, I completely endorse his comments about how the whole rental process (from our initial contact in 2025, correspondence in the year leading up to our arriving in Thonon, picking up the bikes and being shown how they work then the seamless process of returning the bikes) was handled in such a professional manner by Laetitia and the staff at LS Lanches. I thank them very much for making the whole transaction simple.
I must give special thanks to Laetitia for her handling of my initial requests and the many times I suggested slightly changes to dates, number of bikes, sizes of bikes, types of bikes, options with 'this and that' which she dealt with efficiently. All correspondence she made with us was in English and she never hesitated with this although she is French and I realise that sometimes my requests must have made her wonder? Thanks Laetitia.
The 3 bikes Moustache bikes we hired were terrific. As Kim said we travelled over 1000km without a hiccup. The e-bikes had 500w Bosch batteries which provided good range for our daily trips of between 40-75km even with 2 of them each loaded with pannier bags weighing up to 22kg. The bikes were clean and well serviced. The tyres were well treaded and we did not have one puncture in the 30 days of riding we did.
In addition to hiring us 3 quality e-bikes, LS Lanches provide many other bicycle related services. Clothing, bikes, spare parts, travel accessories, service and maintenance etc. With short notice I was able to organise a service on my Trek gravel bike (not one of the hire ones) the day we returned the e-bikes in June. And was very pleased with what was done.
