Two years ago now, I went along with my 5-month-old child to have passport photos taken, and I was turned away on the grounds that he was “not dressed properly”. I’d found that a bit much even then, but I didn’t make a fuss and went to another photographer that very same day, who took the photos without any trouble.
Today, the same situation: I turned up with my 5-month-old baby, and once again, I was turned away because of what he was wearing (just a T-shirt). Frankly, it’s incomprehensible. We’re talking about passport photos for a baby, not a fashion shoot.
The most ironic thing is that I went straight to another photographer in Metz city centre, who took me straight away, without any fuss, and it was all sorted in a matter of seconds.
I find this behaviour unacceptable. If you don’t want to work with children or if you’re so rigid about such absurd details, perhaps you should make that clear… or consider closing your business.
A very bad experience; I wouldn’t recommend them at all.
