ECOFLOW Wave 3

The EcoFlow WAVE 3 is a portable device capable of cooling, heating, ventilating, and dehumidifying a space, without permanent installation.

Compact and transportable, it is particularly suitable for tents, RVs, vans, small spaces, temporary offices, booths, events, or rooms needing a temporary comfort solution.

Operation on AC power

The WAVE 3 can be plugged directly into a standard electrical outlet. In this configuration, it operates as long as the AC power is available.

Its usual consumption is about:

• 690 W in cooling mode;
• 645 W in heating mode;
• up to 820 W depending on conditions and mode used.

Operation with additional battery

The additional EcoFlow WAVE 3 battery of 1,024 Wh allows the device to be used without a power outlet.

The declared autonomy varies between 2 and 8 hours depending on:

• selected mode;
• desired temperature;
• outdoor temperature;
• volume and insulation of the space;
• fan speed;
• using Eco mode.

The 8 hours correspond to use in Eco mode under favorable conditions. At full power, the autonomy will be significantly shorter.

The additional battery is offered separately or as an option depending on the reserved formula.

Installation required

Like any portable air conditioner, the WAVE 3 must expel hot air outside when operating in cooling mode.

To achieve good performance:

• properly install the air ducts;
• direct the hot air outside;
• limit incoming outside air;
• place the device on a stable surface;
• never block the intake or exhaust grills;
• regularly check the condensate water level.

Poor installation of ducts can significantly reduce cooling efficiency.

Actual performance

EcoFlow claims a temperature drop of up to 8 °C in 15 minutes in cooling mode and a rise of up to 9 °C in heating mode. These results were obtained in a test space of about 10 m³.

Actual performance depends heavily on:

• the volume to be treated;
• the insulation;
• the outdoor temperature;
• exposure to sunlight;
• the number of people present;
• opening doors and windows;
• the installation of ducts.

The WAVE 3 is mainly intended for small spaces. It does not replace a fixed air conditioning system sized for a large room or an entire dwelling.
