As far as the weather is concerned, winter generally runs from December to March, with temperatures often below zero in the mornings. The best times are bright mornings after a snowfall, when the powder is light. When it's windy, we recommend more sheltered forest loops. Days are short in mid-winter: leave early and leave some time for the return trip.
