Biarritz is the perfect town for all board sports enthusiasts 🌊

You'll love this destination if you dream of challenging the waves with your surfboard.

Here we tell you all about surf rentals in Biarritz!

First of all, let's talk about the best surf spots in Biarritz. There's something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a pro on the tube. Grande Plage is a classic, perfect for gentle beginners. For the more experienced, head for the Côte des Basques, a legendary spot with dream waves. You'll love the vibes here. And of course, there's also Parlementia, just a few kilometers from Biarritz, ideal for confirmed surfers. 🤙

One of Biarritz's big assets is the multitude of surf schools offering top notch services. A surf school in Biarritz, is the assurance of learning to tame the waves in complete safety. The instructors are often passionate surfers, infected with the surfing virus since childhood! They'll give you all the advice you need to make rapid progress, and above all they'll guide you to the spots best suited to your level. You'll see, you won't even be afraid of the big waves after a few sessions with them!

For those who want to venture out on their own or who already have a few notions, surfboard rental in Biarritz is super convenient and affordable. On average, you'll find boards for hire for around 15-20 euros per half-day. If you want to invest in a full day, you'll pay around 30-35 euros. And the best part is that you can often choose from several types of board to suit your preferences: longboard, shortboard, fish... There's something for every taste and experience! 🏄‍♂️

When it comes to choosing the best time to surf in Biarritz, the waves are almost always there. However, if you want to enjoy the best conditions, you'd better opt for the months of September and October. The beaches are less crowded than in summer, and the waves are often better. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy quieter sessions. Spring, from March to May, can also be an excellent option, with waves a little gentler and the water starting to warm up.

Then, for those who like to combine surfing with a good time, Biarritz is full of little nuggets to discover between two sessions. The beachside cafés and bars are perfect for a well-deserved break. Imagine yourself enjoying an ice cream or smoothie, with the added bonus of a breathtaking view of the waves you've just tamed. Not bad, no? ✨

So, whether you're with family, friends or even solo, let surf rental in Biarritz tempt you and immerse yourself in the surfing atmosphere of this incredible city. You won't regret it, I promise!"

Such a real Surf Buddies / surf homies experience. I felt so welcome, like I was back at my own hometown surf spot. Warm vibes, fun energy, and a really cool experience overall. They have plenty of boards to choose from, and you can swap boards if you need to. These guys are truly your surf homies in town. Also, they have electric bikes with surfboard racks, which made the experience even more amazing. Definitely a 6-star experience! Big thanks, guys. Big hug from a Panamanian surfer in Biarritz.

Have several times hired a bodyboard and fins along with a wet suit at a reasonable price and Marty and Nino were very helpful and prompt to make sure that they were available when I showed up. Will definitely use the facilities again and Bidart beaches are great.

We rented a vespa and the experience was amazing. We also extended the time by two days which worked flawlessly via phone call.

Very friendly shop renting out bikes. They were kind enough to bring (e-)bikes even to Cambo-les-Bains. It was not high season though and you might want to check with them for availability. We rented bikes for the hilly region up to St. Jean Pied de Port and got 2 white 7-gear bikes with middle motor which looked a bit like city bikes but were fully up to the task :) They also had bags to be fixed on the rear carrier which we found way better than the "corbeilles" we got in Arcachon the week before. Unfortunately one bike had a pretty bad battery and a chain jumping freewheel teeth. But Homie drove up again to us the same evening at around 22:00 to make sure we had a fresh bike in the morning - boy, what a service! :))) The replacement bike was red and less useful (only 3 gears and difficult to use in steep hills due to the front motor), but we managed anyway to criss-cross the area and the phantastic landscapes going along with it. When we returned the bikes, we just left them at our Hotel (Ursula) and they handled everything between them directly - very nice! :) I still would advice asking for the 7-speed white bikes if you plan to do serious hills - they are better suited. Red bikes should be good for city and beach rides. And just on a side line: while the bikes are sturdy, they are no mountain bikes (VTT), so don't plan to use them on trails. All in all it was a very satisfying experience and you will rarely find someone as friendly and committed to customer service as this guy.
