The terrain alternates between fast false flats, short climbs to warm up the legs and sportier sections for skating enthusiasts. On clear days, the panoramic view of the Chamechaude skyline adds a grandiose touch to the outing. At an altitude of around 1,300 m, the air is crisp in winter: bring breathable layers, warm gloves and goggles. The best conditions are often found in the morning, when the slopes have just been groomed, or just after a snowfall. In cold, dry weather, gliding is generally faster.
