We tell you more about this resort!

Snowshoe rental at La Toussuire is the promise of a gentle, luminous interlude in the heart of the Maurienne. Nestled on a broad plateau at an altitude of 1,750 m, the resort offers open panoramas and quiet itineraries, far from the hustle and bustle of the slopes. You can walk at your own pace, against a backdrop of the Aiguilles d'Arves and the Sybelles crests, in snow that is often generous.

Weather-wise, winter is generally cold and sunny, with a possible wind on the heights. After a snowfall, the undergrowth and alpine meadows become enchanting; at the height of the season (January-March), the snowpack is often more stable. Set off early in the morning for firm snow and crystal-clear light; in the late afternoon, the golden colors sublimate the view over the Maurienne valley. Always check the weather report and avalanche risk before setting off outside the marked loops.
