As for the weather, winter is often cold and dry, perfect for catchy snow in the morning. Towards the end of the season, temperatures rise and the snow becomes softer in the afternoon: give preference to the first tracks on groomed pistes, then head for the higher sectors when the sun warms up. After a snowfall, La Masse keeps the powder well thanks to its exposure, but the wind can sometimes complicate access to the ridges; check the day's bulletin before setting off.
