Nemours is best explored by bike, between its medieval streets, peaceful river banks and state-owned forest. As soon as you get on your bike for a leisurely stroll or a sporty getaway, the town reveals its treasures: the imposing château, the plane-tree-lined quays of the Loing and the Gothic-style church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Each pedal stroke invites you to look up at the colorful facades or slow down to admire a scene of local life.

Nature lovers won't be able to resist the trails of the Fontainebleau massif, just a few kilometers to the south. Accessible in less than an hour by bike, the forest offers a variety of trails, ideal for an invigorating mountain bike ride or a leisurely stroll under the canopy. To the east, the banks of the Canal du Loing stretch for several kilometers: the flat surface is ideally suited to electric bikes, which smooth out the climbs and extend your range. You can reach Montigny-sur-Loing or even Moret-sur-Loing, a medieval town listed as one of France's most beautiful detours.
