Rent a bike in Puyvert: rates, routes and tips

Want to discover Puyvert in a different way? Rent a Puyvert bike and set off on an adventure through the Luberon countryside. From as little as €10 per day, you can choose an electric bike for effortless climbing up to the hilltop villages, or a mountain bike for teasing out the forest trails. Enjoy the charm of Provence at the rhythm of your pedals, between terraced vineyards, cypress trees and lavender fields.

In the heart of the Durance valley, the itineraries are varied and accessible. You can follow the cycle path between Pertuis and Cadenet, crossing the foothills of the Luberon and stopping for a gourmet meal in a local winery. Then head for Lourmarin, one of France's most beautiful villages, just a few kilometers away. Further afield, the village of Ansouis and the medieval ruins of La Bastide-des-Jourdans are well worth a detour, again by bike.

Puyvert's Mediterranean climate offers generous sunshine most of the year. Mornings are cool in spring and autumn, perfect for setting off without breaking a sweat right from the start. In summer, remember to set off early, pack plenty of water and protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunscreen. In winter, temperatures remain mild, so you can enjoy beautiful walks even out of season. On the road, a few shaded areas offer welcome breaks.

To make the most of your outing, don't forget to check tire pressure before each ride, and take a small repair kit and a sturdy padlock. If you opt for a mountain bike, adjust the pressure for stony roads. Electric bikes, meanwhile, have a comfortable range, so make sure you have a recharge for long days of pedaling.

The region is not limited to Puyvert: in a day's ride, you can reach Aix-en-Provence or Avignon for an urban extension, or explore the hills of the Luberon. On the way back, park your bike and enjoy an aperitif on the terrace of a local café, overlooking the plane trees. You'll have covered an authentic itinerary, combining nature, heritage and Provencal flavors.

Dare to be free with a Puyvert bike rental, and set off to conquer a region rich in color and emotion. Each pedal stroke will bring you a little closer to the hidden treasures of Provence.

Thank you to Cyril and the whole team. Everything was handled as arranged, communication in English was clear and efficient. The bikes were delivered to our hotel in Cavaillon and we returned them in the same place after finishing the "Around the Luberon" route, which made the logistics very easy. We rode Trek Allant+ 5 e-bikes - comfortable, stable and well suited to the varied terrain of the region. From a practical perspective: the 545 Wh batteries performed reliably. In the Luberon's hilly landscape with frequent climbs, we achieved around 80 km on a charge using mainly Eco and Tour modes, with a rider weight of about 80 kg including luggage. With a total load (with panniers) closer to 110 kg, a realistic range is around 70 km. For a multi-day trip around the Luberon with panniers, this setup from this company works perfect. Thank you for your support and professional service :)

We had a wonderful 60 km e-bike tour today through picturesque villages, vineyards, and beautiful lavender fields. There were some challenging climbs along the way, but with the 9-speed e-bikes they were very manageable and enjoyable. The service was excellent and the bikes were of top quality, complete with pannier bags and a secure lock. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore the region in a relaxed and memorable way.

We did a 6 day trip in the Luberon & Apilles & it was one of the best cycling trips we have ever done! So well organized - great hotels (most were 4 star), detailed itinerary with suggested sight seeing stops, lunch & dinner recommendations. Also well supported & easy to reach the office if anything came up. May was a perfect time to visit - beautiful weather & hardly any people. thank you Max & team!!

Had a wonderful experience at AJP! The staff was helpful and the only shop in town that could provide a long term rental. I rented a road bike for 1 month and got an amazing bike at a great price! The shop itself also had all the gear you could possibly need for both road and mountain bikes. Can’t recommend it enough! Will be going back next time!
