Renting a snowshoe at Turini Camp d'Argent is the ideal way to discover the wild side of the Mercantour, between fir forests, silent clearings and panoramic views of the Authion crests. At an altitude of almost 1,800 m, winter snow is often cold in the morning and softer in the afternoon, perfect for loops accessible to all, including families.

Depending on snow conditions, the best period is from December to March. Set off early on a clear day to enjoy firm snow and unobstructed views, sometimes as far as the Mediterranean on a clear day. After a snowfall, the marked itineraries become magical, with chamois and fox tracks lining the trails. The Authion plateau beckons with its historic remains and 360° horizon, while the undergrowth of Camp d'Argent offers a soothing backdrop on windy days.
