The 10 sunniest ski resorts

We tell you more about this resort!
Want to slow down and enjoy the silence of winter? Renting a snowshoe at Val Dallos is the perfect opportunity to explore the mountains in a different way, at your own pace, far from the noise of the slopes.
In the heart of the Southern Alps, Val Dallos unfurls its larch forests, immaculate clearings and panoramic views of the Mercantour. You can walk along marked trails, follow animal tracks in the powder snow, and dominate the Verdon valley, whose source is never far away. The balconies of Le Seignus offer beautiful views, the forest of La Foux protects from the wind, and the valleys towards the Col d'Allos (often closed in winter) appeal to the more inquisitive walker. From gentle loops for families to more challenging itineraries, there's something for everyone.
As for the weather, there's plenty of sunshine but the mornings remain cool: set off early for firm snow and superb light, or late morning when the sun warms up. After a fall, opt for forested areas. Always check snow conditions and avalanche bulletins before setting out; winter generally lasts from December to March, depending on altitude.
For a successful outing, adopt the technique of layers, waterproof boots, gaiters and poles. Pack water, a snack, a map or GPX track, sun cream, glasses and a charged phone. Stay on the trails, respect the wildlife and plan ahead for the return journey: the temperature drops quickly in the late afternoon.
Practical and flexible, snowshoe hire at Val Dallos lets you travel light and improvise the best walk of your holiday.
