Thanks to Mirko for his assistance, kindness, and professionalism. I rented a Trek road bike for two days and covered a total of 240 km, riding from Catania to Taormina and then from Catania to Syracusa. The landscapes and villages were authentic and beautiful. Unfortunately, I had two flat tires; there is a lot of broken glass on Sicilian roads, so maybe gravel or tubeless tires would be more suitable for this kind of tour.
