I wouldn’t recommend this shop, particularly because of the manager’s behaviour (JULIEN, if I’m not mistaken).
My dealings with the manager had already got off to a bad start back in July, when he was supposed to ring me back about a quote for a bike but never did!
It was actually a former sales assistant who really made me want to shop at this shop again, as he took the time to explain and go into detail about the various techniques and specifications of the bikes – he was brilliant.
Unfortunately, he’s no longer working at this shop.
I’d bought a bike costing over €3,600 and went back to the shop the following week to order a spare part (today, in fact).
The shop wasn’t very busy; the shop manager walked past me several times but didn’t even have the courtesy to say hello. He completely ignored me! That really made me wonder whether I was satisfied with my bike!… and I certainly had a story to tell…
After riding it for 40 km, I got a puncture (really bad luck). Whilst trying to replace the inner tube, I attempted to remove the rear wheel. I broke the wheel axle because I inserted the spanner the wrong way round. That’s why I went back to the shop this morning to order that part. Whilst
I was there, I learnt that I should have been given a wheel-removal spanner fitted to the axle…
which Julien, the manager, had forgotten to give me.
The mechanics kindly gave me one.
Thank goodness the mechanics are there, offering courtesy, a listening ear and advice, both in terms of sales and technical matters.
