We had a wonderful week cycling around Île de Ré on what was our first visit to the island. The island has the most incredible network of scenic and mainly off road bike paths that link one village to another and it truly was a unique experience to travel in convoy with other bike riders around the island. We will most certainly be back to do it again. If you can, then you should definitely spend some time biking on Île de Ré. We rented our bikes from Réavélo Cyclosurf Saint-Martin-de-Ré. Excellent new bikes and a good price for the week. The lady who worked there was really friendly and spoke English with us as our school French was not up to the task! We would definitely recommend.
