🌿 A bike, a road, a border

In Trieste, where the wind changes direction like languages and stories, ELEKTRA is born.

A rental, yes, but also an invitation: to slow down, to discover, to pedal towards something new.

Our bicycles travel roads that were once rails, cross borders that no longer exist, bringing with them the sound of stones and the silence of the woods.

Every departure from here is different: some seek the light of the sea, some the scents of the Karst, some the long Parenzana railway line between Slovenia and Croatia.

This is what we are here for: to start stories, not just wheels.

From ELEKTRA, the journey truly begins.

I rented a bike from Elektra for a short touring trip into Slovenia and Croatia. The trip was amazing even if too short, but we’re here to talk about the shop and Dario. He was awesome from the start- clearly letting me know what was available and pricing. I was very happy with the bike and panniers I rented. He provided valuable input on my plans and was friendly and professional throughout. He was more than accommodating when my flight was delayed and I arrived a day late. Dario is the kind of guy and Elektra is the kind of shop that I wish was everywhere and would choose to use again and again, and the type of shop I want to support. Thank you Dario

Darios bikes were terrific to hire during our day stop off in Trieste. He was very helpful even going out of his way cycling with us to make sure we were on the right track for our day exploring the area. Stopping off along our way at many historical sites. We followed the rail trail via park Beka all the way to the Slovenian border and back down again. The track had a gentle slope going up . We stopped off at a cave sipping some wine provided by a local. An honesty box was inside the cave for payment. Fabulous day was definitely worth the stop gorgeous countryside and safe bike tracks.
