A magnificent hotel, ideally situated on the Route des Sanguinaires with its beach and swimming pool. Very friendly staff across all departments. A lovely, spacious and quiet room. Impeccably clean. Exceptional panoramic sea views from both the room and the terrace, right by the water’s edge. Sunrise over an excellent buffet breakfast, followed by sunset over dinner. Excellent cuisine, excellent service. Perfect.

I’d recommend this hotel – the breakfast is excellent, all the staff are lovely and the owner is absolutely brilliant: he’s someone who’s deeply committed to his hotel and doesn’t count his hours; he’s very hard-working, always friendly and funny whenever you bump into him – it’s a real pleasure. We had a lovely stay with a beautiful view from the room, a large, peaceful swimming pool with the sea right behind it, restaurants within walking distance (less than 15 minutes), some really nice beach bars all along the Route des Sanguinaires, and a walk on the nearby Île des Sanguinaires with a beautiful sunset. Le Neptune (beach bar) is great for a quick drink or a bite to eat, and Panzo for dinner – in both cases, a very warm welcome and a great atmosphere. Thanks again to the hotel owner, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to have dinner had it not been for his help. A real lifesaver!

An absolutely exceptional stay at Cala di Sole! We had an unforgettable time at this ideally situated hotel and restaurant, with a magnificent view of the sea. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, professional and attentive — we felt right at home straight away. The room was spotless: clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with a breathtaking view. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding completely. As for the restaurant, we absolutely loved it! The dishes are delicious, refined and prepared with high-quality ingredients. Every meal was a real treat, both for the taste buds and the eyes. The service is impeccable, with a smiling and attentive team. The staff as a whole are incredibly kind and always on hand to make your stay even more enjoyable. We’re leaving with wonderful memories and just one desire: to come back as soon as possible! I’d recommend this hotel without a moment’s hesitation.

A superb hotel A dream location, a lovely room (a packet of canistrelli and a bottle of water on arrival, but no welcome tray), a large terrace overlooking the Sanguinaires Islands. A very good breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff, apart from the young woman at reception when we arrived, who wasn’t at all welcoming (no ‘hello’, let alone a ‘welcome’ no smile, just reciting the rules without any enthusiasm) – a shame!

Overall, a disappointing stay, despite a few positives. The hotel’s location and the view are pleasant, and the bedding is decent. However, the general condition of the hotel could do with more maintenance. The corridors smelled musty, and we were particularly bothered by a strong sewer smell in the bedroom and bathroom throughout our stay. We also found the breakfast rather limited given the price charged (around €20 per person), with little choice and rather basic fare. We were also disappointed by the handling of our booking. The payment and cancellation terms were not very clear, and we did not receive any specific explanations in advance. On arrival, we were asked to pay for the second night immediately, even though the first night had already been prepaid. Following the cancellation of our ferry and the postponement of our crossing to L’Île-Rousse, we had to cut our stay short by one night. We went to reception before 2 pm to explain the situation and see if a solution or a gesture of goodwill could be considered. Unfortunately, no alternative was offered to us. I can understand the hotel’s constraints, but we would have appreciated more willingness to listen and greater consideration in the way this situation was handled. Ultimately, despite a good location and a lovely view, the experience did not live up to our expectations.
