We hired three electric bikes to go for a cycle ride.
Right from the start, we felt as though we were inconveniencing the shopkeeper when we rang him, even though his shop was advertised as being open all day. He finally turned up five minutes later to hand over the bikes.
Unfortunately, the bikes weren’t in very good condition. One of them kept derailing whenever we rode over a bump or an uneven patch of road. This was a particularly annoying problem when cycling along the greenway, which isn’t completely flat and has several uneven sections.
On our return, we reported this fault. We were then disappointed by the lack of consideration shown towards our comment. No word of apology, no sign of regret or interest in the problem we’d encountered. The only response we received was: ‘If you want to wash your hands, the washbasin is at the back. ”
This attitude, combined with the condition of the equipment we hired, left us with a very mixed impression of the experience.
