I was very disappointed with my experience.
I booked an appointment the day before by phone, clearly explaining that I was looking for a mermaid-style dress for my wedding, and also specifying the date. I was asked to confirm by 2 pm, which I did straight away, and then I made the journey – a journey of over an hour.
Once there, I was simply asked to look at the dresses (which were lying around and very dirty). I pointed out the ones I was interested in, only to be told that they were all already booked for my wedding date… (bearing in mind they didn’t have a huge selection of mermaid-style dresses to begin with), even though I’d given this information right from the start. At no point over the phone was I told that certain styles were no longer available; they only talked to me about the budget and the deposit, which is clearly the most important thing.
The result: a wasted trip.
On top of that, no real effort was made to suggest alternatives or find a solution. I was made to try on a size 38 dress when I’m a size 40, knowing full well it wouldn’t fasten… with the sole justification being “it gives you an idea”.
I find this really unprofessional, especially for such an important occasion as a wedding. A lack of attentiveness, organisation and consideration for customers. I wouldn’t recommend them.
