Update 2026: Last year we rented bikes here and we were so pleased that we rented two bikes for three days again. As the area around Bordeaux is fairly flat, we rented regular bikes designed and assembled by Arcade in France. The bikes are in excellent condition and bike so light, it feels like they ride themselves. They are silent, well maintained, clean with 21 gears a d suspension front forks. The service was once again excellent. We used the bikes both for groceries and touring. We did several tours north and south of Bordeaux in wine country. As you can take bikes on the tram, it is easy to take the bike to a terminus like Blanchefort and bike from there. The cycling infrastructure is pretty good both in the city, in the suburbs and even out to several towns. Highly recommended. You can rent a basket or Ortlieb panniers (highly recommended). 2025: Very well maintained clean and sturdy bikes, excellent and friendly customer service. Lots of choice early in the season. We chose two e-bikes and biked three routes in the Bordeaux area, totalling 120 km in three days. Bordeaux has a lot of safe cycling infrastructure and a good bike network. We don’t always have the assist on, because the bikes cycle very light on flat surfaces too. They don’t feel like e-bikes.

I rented a bike for a week, very straightforward and simple process, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Returning the bike was also a breeze, no headaches or attempts to withhold the deposit for no reason. The bike was in good state and comfortable, did about 250km around Arcachon and back to Bordeaux, no issues at all
