Backcountry Ski Pack
The pack includes:
- a pair of backcountry skis with Dynafit insert bindings;
- a pair of compatible boots;
- poles;
- skins;
- crampons.
What size skis to choose?
Select skis that are about 5 to 15 cm shorter than your height.
If you are unsure between two lengths:
- choose the shorter skis to make transitions easier and gain maneuverability uphill;
- choose the longer skis for more stability downhill.
What size boots to choose?
Select your usual shoe size. If in doubt, measure your foot from heel to the longest toe.
How does the equipment work?
When ascending, the skins attach to the bottoms of the skis for traction. The insert bindings release the heel to allow for walking movement.
For descending, remove the skins and lock the bindings in ski mode. The crampons provide additional grip on hard or icy snow.
