Randonnée Ski Pack + Safety Pack
This pack includes the necessary equipment for a ski touring outing as well as avalanche safety equipment for one person.
The pack includes:
- a pair of touring skis with Dynafit insert bindings;
- a compatible pair of boots;
- poles and climbing skins;
- a DVA ARVA EVO4, a shovel, and a probe;
- ice skates upon request.
What ski size to choose?
As a benchmark, choose skis measuring 5 to 15 cm shorter than your height.
If you are unsure between two lengths:
- select the shorter one to ease climbing transitions and enhance maneuverability;
- select the longer one for better stability and comfort when descending.
What boot size to choose?
Select your usual shoe size. If in doubt, measure your foot from heel to the longest toe.
How does the equipment work?
When climbing, skins attach to the skis for grip. The insert bindings allow the heel to lift for walking. For descending, remove the skins and lock the bindings in ski position.
The ice skates, available upon request, provide extra grip on hard or icy snow.
