Training camp on 9, 10 and 11 July at Décathlon Boissenard (77) We are delighted with this ‘Tous à Vélo IDF’ training camp! Our son, Raphaël, aged four and a half, learnt to ride a bike without training wheels in just two hours with Nicolas and Innocent. The rest of the camp then allowed him to refine his skills, build his confidence and improve his cycling ability. He looked forward to every session and always turned up with a smile, proof that he was really enjoying taking part. It was a real joy to see him so enthusiastic. Despite temperatures of 36 °C, the activity took place in the shade, with regular breaks to allow the children to stay hydrated and rest. The organisation was very reassuring and the children’s wellbeing was a priority. Parents are not allowed to attend the sessions, which may seem surprising at first, but this helps the children to become more independent. The team supervises the children with great care: they are very well looked after, supported and encouraged throughout the activity. A huge thank you to the whole team for their patience, kindness and professionalism. The exercises are perfectly suited to the children’s age, in an atmosphere that is fun, safe and motivating. We would recommend this course without the slightest hesitation to all parents who wish to teach their child to ride a bike without training wheels or help them improve their skills.

A brilliant cycling course for my 5-year-old son. Nicolas was brilliant. My son was really nervous about cycling without training wheels, but thanks to Nicolas, his fears have gone and he’s now very proud of himself. A thousand thanks, and keep up the good work.

My 9-year-old daughter, who has ASD, wanted to learn to ride a bike, but as she was finding it difficult, we turned to this charity. Thanks to Benoît’s teaching skills and professionalism, she can now ride a bike – and she learnt it in just a 6-hour course. She’s very proud and pleased with herself, and so are we. I highly recommend this organisation and would like to thank them for the course. A big thank you also to Benoît.

A brilliant cycling course for children, running over three mornings with one break in between. A group of up to 15 children of all ages: it’s perfect. My 5½-year-old son, who isn’t ‘always’ the most attentive, was able to pedal by the second day, even though he was starting from scratch (he never really got to grips with the balance bike), had no sense of balance and was afraid of falling (I realise that now, looking back). The course helps them overcome their fears and learn gradually, each at their own pace. Plus point: The dedicated indoor area at Decathlon was great (smooth floor, learning indoors rather than out in the cold...). Nicolas is brilliant – a great teacher! I highly recommend it +++

I was quite apprehensive about this camp for my 7-year-old daughter, who has neurodevelopmental differences and ADHD… We were pleasantly surprised to see that by the end of the second day, she was slowly starting to pedal, and by the end of the third day she was riding without training wheels! The moral of the story: Let’s trust our children, even if they’re ‘different’ A big thank you 🙏🏻 to the two instructors, Nicolas and Georges Iliana’s mum
