Indicative Charging Times
The charging time depends on the station used, sunlight, the orientation of the panel, and the solar power accepted by the battery.
In good conditions:
- Station of 512 Wh: about 2 h 30 to 4 hours
- Station of 1,024 Wh: about 5 to 7 hours
- Station of 2,048 Wh: about 9 to 14 hours
- Station of 3,600 Wh: about 16 to 24 hours of useful sunlight
A large-capacity station may therefore require several days to be fully charged with a single panel.
How to Achieve the Best Production?
To optimize charging:
- Fully deploy the panel.
- Place it in full sun, without shadows.
- Orient its surface directly towards the sun.
- Adjust its orientation throughout the day.
- Avoid having objects, branches, or buildings shade the cells.
- Use the appropriate cable and adapter for your station.
A shadow, even partial, can significantly reduce production across the entire panel.
Actual Power
The 300 W corresponds to a nominal power achieved under standardized conditions. In real use, production varies based on:
- sun intensity;
- season and time of day;
- panel orientation;
- cell temperature;
- cloud cover or shadow;
- maximum power accepted by the station;
- voltage and current limits of the solar input;
- length and quality of cables.
Actual production may therefore be significantly lower than 300 W and cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Compatibility
The energy station used must accept an open circuit voltage of at least 20.4 V and a current of up to 18.28 A.
If the station accepts a lower current, it may automatically limit the retrieved power. For example, a solar input limited to 15 A will not necessarily be able to utilize the full 300 W of the panel.
Please inform us of the exact model of your station before booking: we will check the voltage, current, maximum power, and necessary connectors.
Usage Precautions
- Do not fold or crush the panel during use.
- Do not walk on or place heavy objects on the cells.
- Do not pull on the cables to disconnect the connectors.
- Do not connect or disconnect the panel with wet hands.
- Protect connectors from water and moisture.
- Store the panel only when it is clean and dry.
- The panel should not be left unattended in strong winds.
