- Coulée verte / Vallée de Chevreuse (towards Sud-Ouest): a series of gentle paths leading to Versailles, Rambouillet then Perche.

1) Vallée de l'Eure gently (Chartres → Dreux/Bueil) - 75 à 110 km

- Spirit: rolling countryside, castles (Maintenon), water at Mézières-Écluzelles, laid-back villages.
- Stations: Paris-Chartres (Montparnasse, TER) / return Dreux or Bueil.
- Pacing: J1 Chartres → Écluzelles (40-55 km), J2 Écluzelles → Dreux/Bueil (35-55 km).
- Variant: loop via Anet (Renaissance, parks).
- For whom: gentle recovery, families, VAE.
2) Vallée du Loir nature & heritage (Illiers-Combray → Vendôme) - 90 to 110 km
- Esprit: towpaths, Bonneval (canals), Châteaudun (cliffs, château), orchards, guinguettes.
- Stations: Paris-Illiers-Combray (Montparnasse, TER) / return Vendôme.
- Pacing: J1 Illiers → Châteaudun (45-55 km), J2 Châteaudun → Vendôme (45-55 km).
- Variant: detour Meslay and views of the Loir at sunrise.
3) Chevreuse "classic" (Versailles / Massy → Rambouillet) - 100 to 130 km

4) Oise royale (Paris → Chantilly/Senlis → Compiègne) - 110 to 160 km

6) La Véloscénie (Paris → Mont-Saint-Michel) - ≈ 450 km

- Esprit: from Hôtel de Ville to the forests of Perche, then Normandie hilly and final bouquet over the bay.

- Highlights: Chartres, voie verte du Perche, Bagnoles-de-l'Orne, Domfront.
- Return: TGV/TER from Dol-de-Bretagne or Rennes (bike places: think of the off-peak slot).
7) Avenue Verte (Paris → Dieppe) - ≈ 230 to 260 km

- Spirit: two variants (Normande / Épône-Gisors), generous greenway, seafront finale.
- Rhythm: 3-4 days to 60-75 km/d.
- Moments: loops of the Seine, Gisors, Forges-les-Eaux, descent to Dieppe.
- Return: TER Dieppe → Rouen → Paris (flexible outside summer). Ferry option to England if extended.
8) La Seine à Vélo (Paris → Honfleur/Deauville) - ≈ 340 km
- Esprit: river valley, cliffs, abbeys (Jumièges), ports, luminous estuary.
- Rhythm: 5 days to 60-75 km/d.
- Highlights: La Roche-Guyon, Giverny, Les Andelys, Rouen, Honfleur.
- Return: bus/TER from Deauville-Trouville or Le Havre (via Rouen).
9) Scandibérique (EV3) north - choice of 2 to 7 days
- Esprit: exit via the Canal de l'Ourcq, then fields, forests and small towns with character.
- Formats:
- 2-3 days: Paris → Compiègne (120-160 km).
- 4-5 days: Paris → Maubeuge (300-350 km).
- 6-7 days: push to Mons/Belgium and play the cross-border card.
- Return: TER Compiègne / Maubeuge / connections Belgium.
