Lionel went far beyond just helping us find new tires for our tandem bike. Since 700x35 tires weren’t available, we had to switch to 700x40, which meant a bit of grinding and sanding on the fork. Lionel guided us through the whole process with patience and skill, making sure everything was safe and working perfectly. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely fun to work with — the kind of person you’re happy to meet on a bike tour.

These guys are fantastic. We are from
New Zealand and Australia cycling around Europe for 3 months. Our bikes have been good, we purchased them from Poland (Chinese Brand) except the spokes (rayon) on one of the bikes kept breaking. We took the bike to a repair shop in St Jean de Illac then to Lacanau but the spokes kept breaking. This nearly ruined our trip. We still have one month to go so it was important to us to continue to enjoy beautiful France. Then we met the two guys from 4Ride Cycles Hourtin. These guys know what they are doing. They cared about us and our bike. Lionel is the man, the legend, he worked tirelessly, he was indefatigable and would not let this problem defeat him. He came up with a wonderful solution and I now have a new rim with quality spokes. For the first time I feel confident to ride a 60km day every day. Thanks a million for your perfectionist attitude guys, especially you Lionel. Come and visit us in New Zealand you are very welcome, kisses to you both xxx
