I've been reading the comments here, and I'm surprised because I've rented vans dozens of times and never had a problem. They always take good photos and videos of the vehicle before I leave (interior and exterior), refuel properly (except for electric vehicles), and return it fairly clean. There's always a queue when they open, though, so be aware. But the employees are quite friendly despite the repetitive nature of the job. In short, I recommend them and don't understand the negative feedback here, except that you always hear more from the complainers and disappointed customers (or even those acting in bad faith?) than from those who simply go elsewhere.

I rented a van this Saturday, February 5th... attractive price, but a few things to be aware of... carefully check the vehicle condition report when you pick it up; not all defects are noted (scratches on the bumpers and inside on the rear door pillars). It also states that the vehicle is provided clean inside and out and must be returned clean. Make sure you clarify what Leclerc means by "clean"!!! Another major drawback is the €2000 deposit, or €1000 if you pay €12... this amount is blocked in your account and automatically released after 30 days!!! How are we guaranteed that Leclerc won't keep this deposit within the first month?! No clear answer was given... Another negative point: they don't accept a security deposit check!!! Try checking with another rental company before going to Leclerc.

Avoid at all costs! The negative reviews speak for themselves, as I've had a terrible experience. What a shame. It's shocking and hard to recover from such a bad experience and unpleasant surprises from beginning to end! And the lie they tell you about holding your €2000 deposit for a month is illegal, as the bank only allows that amount to be blocked in your account for six days. Otherwise, I agree with all the negative reviews, which are absolutely spot-on. Steer clear.

(BEWARE of some fake positive reviews) As a customer, let's get back into the habit of reading reviews carefully before doing anything, you will sincerely avoid unpleasant surprises! A sword of Damocles will be hanging over you throughout your use of the van until you return it, and it doesn't stop there! They will keep your €2,000 deposit for a month, "ABERRANT" I tell you (which is false because the bank only allows 6 days). Read all the negative reviews and move on. Believe me. I thought I was the only one, but in the end I'm reassured, these are their methods and practices for all customers (all suspects, I would say). Oh yes, another very important thing: there is a tracker in the van, which is not specified. at the beginning of the rental. They know where and when you are at all times, they follow you on the computer live and to the second. Is this legal? In any case, you are not warned. It's the worst experience I have had as a customer in a store. I am extremely disappointed with Leclerc Location's service. I had reserved a Skoda Kodiaq for one day, from July 16th to 17th. When I picked up the vehicle, I discovered that the required deposit was €2,500—an amount never mentioned during the booking process and completely disproportionate for a short-term rental. This deposit blocked a significant amount on my credit card. In my case, with a limit of €3,000, and after a few purchases, I only had €1,900 available, which prevented me from finalizing the rental. No alternative was offered: no additional insurance, no possibility of reducing the deposit. And to make matters worse, the €62 rental fee was retained, with no possibility of cancellation or refund. Zero flexibility, no goodwill gesture whatsoever. While many rental companies offer much more reasonable terms, Leclerc Location applies a rigid and outdated policy, to the detriment of the customer. I do not recommend it.
